Summer Time Publishing was formerly Summer Time Studios whose mission was – and still is – to produce and deliver truly wholesome and high quality stories and media for the young and young at heart.
Summer Time Studios was founded by brothers Jade A. Jetzin and Jaron P. Jetzin in 2016. Their childhood home schooled environment allowed the brothers to focus early on their ambitions to create media and stories for children and the ‘young at heart’.
I
n the first decade of their lives they were free to explore all forms of art including painting, sculpting, sketch drawing, and traditional oral storytelling. Jade was 10 years old when he announced to his mother “I am going to write and make stories and movies for children because kids should make media for kids!”
By the time they were 16 & 19 they had deeply committed themselves to learning everything they could about digital art/illustration, movie production, children’s literary classics, history of the film industry, and storytelling. They invested in Wacom tablets and spent whatever free time they had (which had to be shared with ranch and farm responsibilities) devoted to developing their stories and art skills. Their passion for their dream coupled with disciplined focus allowed them to overcome the normal development obstacles of adolescence with relative ease and by the time they were 20 and 23 years old they were ready to launch their business.
In 2020 Jaron released Book I of the Tales of Orlen Series, Long Live The Emperor. This began another cycle of self-taught learning for both brothers in regards to marketing and distribution.
The brothers held the publishing industry (Amazon etc) in contempt because of the history of writers and artists historically being robbed by unfair contracts and profit models so they began exploring how to share their work through various platforms like YouTube and book related sites.
Determined to find a way they succeeded in gaining the support of wonderful people like Raffaello Urbani from the Metatron YouTube Channel and received great reviews.
They also successfully translated an Italian version of Long Live The Emperor with the help of professional literary translators Alessandra and Francesca. Their vision was to have their works translated into many languages as the studio grew over the years and learn more about the cultures in which they wished to share their books.
The years of 2020-2022 were full of global upheaval related to the pandemic and economic disruptions. Despite the challenges they both focused deeply on continued creations of their graphic novels while learning more about publishing/distribution potential alternatives to the monopoly that exists.
In March of 2022 the brothers hired its first employee Alice to help with illustrating backgrounds. The team added another talent later that year to assist in backgrounds as well. Both new team members prefer privacy so their full names and information is private upon their requests.
In 2024 the decision was made Summer Time Studios became the exclusive publisher and renamed Summer Time Publishing and Jetzin Brothers Studios was established. Book II of the Tales of Orlen Series is scheduled to be released late summer 2025 and the brothers are excited to be standing on strong foundation for the success of their studio and publishing company.
